Michael is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults, groups, and does couples/marital counseling. He specializes in working with depression, anxiety, phobias, perfectionism, OCD, addictions, ADHD, and parenting skills. Michael also provides EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for clients with trauma and PTSD. In addition, Michael’s work allows his patients to: identify and eliminate negative thinking patterns; practice emotional regulation; and, increase self-compassion.
Michael has a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Brigham Young University; a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Consumer Development from Utah State University; and, a second Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix.
Michael is married and has 4 children. When he isn’t working he enjoys playing with his kiddos, celebrating pop culture found in movies and comic books, gardening, drawing, reading, and learning the ukulele. Oh, and napping. He is very good at napping.
